Hi, I'm Capt. Richard Williams, the Chairman of U-8047 TRUST.
We are a small independent museum, operating as a social enterprise on a converted Narrowboat at Clarence Dock. The boat has been fabricated to look like a German U-boat on one side and a British Submarine on the other.
We open to the public at weekends; child visitors are free, whilst we collect donations from adult visitors. The donations contribute to the upkeep the boat and facilitate free historical education to groups of children during the week. We have been in Leeds for 10 months and have given free visits to over 12,000 children.
